Trinidad State Junior College softball coach Steve Swazo is proud to announce the signing of Rachel Duran, an outfielder from Bernalillo High School in Bernalillo, New Mexico. Duran makes the fifth athlete from BHS to come play for the Lady Trojans. Ashely Lovato, Deanna Montano, as well as current Trojans Demi Madalena and Bella Navarro are former BHS graduates who have played in the Navy and Gold.

"Rachel is a slapper and gets on base," Coach Swazo said. "I saw her play this past summer at a tournament in Loveland and also during a showcase in Las Vegas and was impressed each time I saw her play. She just has a knack of getting on base and we need that for next year."

Duran is coached by former TSJC baseball alumni Manuel Montano and has had successful seasons at Bernalillo High School.
